|

Hey y'all! A friend asked me to help her with a question regarding Kroger and a Smart Source coupon she printed off the computer. Since I never really use internet coupons, I was hoping one of you could help me find an answer for her! Here is what she told me:
"I printed off some coupons for some specific items and when I went to Krogers to redeem them they said they don't take them there is no code in the top right under the date of expiration that they are required to have to redeem them. They came through Smart source and all the exact coupons that item seem to come through Smart Source. Any ideas?"
Thanks! |

If you print off a coupon from coupon.com you will see a black barcode looking area with some numbers in the top right hand corner under the expiration date. This "barcode area" does not appear on any smart source coupons. For whatever reason the Kroger in Wakefield will not take those coupons, however, it has been my experience in the past that other locations will take them. Hope that helps! _________________ Lynn |

| Kroger at Creedmoor/Strickland told me the same thing, that they won't accept coupons without that third barcode (I guess that means only coupons.com coupons). Not every cashier has been trained this way, though, so who knows. I think it stinks. I understand their fraud concerns, but they need to convey their concerns to the manufacturers who provide us with these coupons, rather than penalizing legitimate coupon-using consumers. |

Oh great! That was my back up store! I guess not so much anymore! At least they are starting to get on the same page. It is frustrating that one store does things one way and another store completely different! _________________ Lynn |
